Monday Night Reflections: A Poem for Jesus

A Poem for Jesus
Mike
If only could a stone talk...
which story would it tell?
If only could a river sing...
what song would be sang?
If only could a tree dance...
how would its dance be?
If only could a flower smile...
to whom would its face turn?

O Savior of men,
if I were a stone,
or just a tiny sand,
I would faithfully tell
tell the Story of Your Salvation!

O King of Majesty,
If I were a river,
or just a shallow stream,
I would joyfully sing
sing the Song of Your Glory!

O Lord of Heaven and Earth,
if I were a tree,
or just a short bush,
I would wildly dance
dance before Your Beautiful Feet!

O Jesus my Dearest Friend,
If I were a flower,
or just a small bud,
I would cheerfully smile
smile at Your Loving Face!

Easter Sunday: Resurrection Day!

He told them, "This is what is written:
The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." (Luke 24: 46-47)

Maundy Thursday: From The Lord's Supper to Gethsemane

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take it; this is my body."
Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, and they all drank from it. "This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many," he said to them. (Mark 14: 22-24)
"Abba, Father," he said, "everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will." (Mark 14: 36)

By His Grace, and For His Glory: Monday Night Reflections

The Best Director, The Perfect Protagonist, and The Glorious Show
Mike
I am humbled and thankful to be a little participant in The Show with Him, Who is both the Director and the Protagonist. The Show started long before the Creation, a time only the Director knows; There was a long Intro before our Protagonist came into the picture, Whose Perfect Performance drew a few, quite some, then many, and later myriads of wandering souls to Him, and to join the Performance. Behold, my friend, The Show is still on, and it's getting bigger and bigger, with many, many more performers filling The Stage. Listen, my friend, the joyful noises they are making are getting louder and louder, resounding with the Harmonic Sounds Above The Stage, and penetrating through and overriding the Piercing Voices Under The Stage. Can you not see? O, how majestic! Can you not hear? O, how glorious! Come, dear friend, come to see our Director, come to learn from our Protagonist, for He wants to meet you before The Show ENDS! Hurry, time is running out! Wherever you are, you are not safe if you are not on The Stage. You see, friend, as every show has its ending, a time will come when you will see the unfolded Curtains moving back again...So fast, so helplessly fast, my friend, that in a blink of an eye, everything will be over, everything will be gone, except those who are in The Show...Again, you will see the Director, the Protagonist, as He comes out of the Curtain. But this time, it's too late to meet Him...Then, o precious friend, what terrible dread and grief if you are still among those who are Off-Stage, ignoring, wandering, thinking, hesitating, even watching the Curtains fold! What awaits...an everlasting dreadful play Under The Stage...But if only...If only you took that step forward onto The Stage, you would know Him, The Best Director and The Perfect Protagonist, and you would become one of us, His apprentices. I pray, my dear, dear friend, that the first time you see Him would not be the END of The Show. You see, for all the actors and actresses, the END of the Show is just the BEGINNING of a New Show, a Show that will last FOREVER, forever be performed Above The Stage, and each new Episode is more majestic, more glorious than the previous one...
Oh, by the way, you can bet that our dear Director and Protagonist will greet us Above The Stage, in The New Show, and we'll be together forever and ever!

Tuesday: Faith and The Greatest Commandment

"Have faith in God,"
Jesus answered.
"I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." (Mark 11: 22-24)
"The most important one,"
answered Jesus,
"is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'
The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'
There is no commandment greater than these." (Mark 12: 29-31)

Monday: Jesus Clears The Temple

And as he taught them, he said, "Is it not written:
" 'My house will be called
a house of prayer for all nations' ?
But you have made it a den of robbers.' " (Mark 11: 17)

Palm Sunday: The Triumphal Entry!

Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted,
"Hosanna!"
"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!"
"Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!"
"Hosanna in the highest!" (Mark 11: 9-10)
