Joy

Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

hello Mike, and blessings in the name of Jesus Christ, the God of the Bible,

I read your comment on the prayer blog, the post concerning China. It is always encouraging to know of other believers out there. You have a great weblog to the glory of Christ. May the Lord bless you unto His greater grace and knowledge. Keep up the good work and the prayers.

Thanks for your encouraging message, brother, I'm glad you enjoy it. If you have any further update concerning the Chinese churches, I would really want to know more and pray for these dear brothers and sisters. May you grow in deeper love with our Lord each day!

concerning your lastest comment in "Prayer", the missionary in China for whom we have been praying actually gave a presentation on a handful of chinese "pictographs", that are made up of Biblical Anecdotal elements. Righteousness was one of them. One Chinese girl objected to Righteousness=Jesus, because she said one always thrusts the spear downwards into the sheep. But she was told that the Lamb of God was lifted up (the "sheep" sign being on top) and the spear had to thrust upwards. Add to this Jeremiah 23:6 where Jesus is called "THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS" and one has a firm hold. Some of the signs include "emperor", "devil", "to covet", "boat", etc. A paper was passed out. If you would like, I could scan it and send it to you.
God bless you

That would a wonderful resource! Please do send it to me. Thanks! I actually posted something about the Chinese word "righteousness". It's a different interpretation from what you mentioned. I'm so blown away by God's creativity!
